The Circular-C project develops innovative bio-based construction materials that are designed for real-world applications in:

  • building panels
  • insulation materials
  • and furniture.

These products incorporate up to 80% recycled content and utilize advanced adhesives and coatings from renewable resources, supporting both performance and sustainability goals.

Thanks to their engineered design, the panels can be easily disassembled and recycled, making them ideal for circular economy business models and secondary material markets.

Secondary market:

Lower-quality material streams from the disassembly and recycling phase of the Circular-C project, are tested for use in:

  • specialty papers
  • and packaging.

To further use the recycled fibres and materials in packaging products, supports the project’s aim to maximize circularity and develop innovative, climate-friendly markets for bio-based materials.

All applications

All new materials undergo rigorous characterization using state-of-the-art analytical techniques such as FTIR, NMR, rheology, and mechanical performance tests, ensuring their tailored function and safety.

All applications will be developed with a digital product passport, to provide full traceability and lifecycle information, ensuring compliance with emerging regulations and enabling transparent value chains.
